I ordered this product as seen on TV. This awesome auger for a total of $19.95 Included in this offer purchase this auger PLUS the special drill for the auger. I could at this time also order an additional set for $ 14.95. Included in this second set was a cost of I would need to purchase a second drill $19.95. I actually hung up the phone wishing no part in this excessive selling. Much to my surprise a small box arrived without the drill! Also the shipping and handling fee was outrageous.

I ordered 2 augers with drills and a samurai shark. The total cost was $59.85 plus S&H. My invoice and credit card charge was $115.50 Thus; $55.65 for S&H. I filed complaints with The Wisconsin Better Bureau. Trade and Consumer Protection, Green Bay, Wi. and Bureau of Consumer Frauds in New York, The home of SAS; the parent company. The charges are pending. My credit Card company refunded $45.05 shipping. I have requested full refund after I opened the package and found only 3 augers. I am sending copies of these complaints to the people named above and the cedit card company

I purchased the awesome auger with the cordless power drill upgrade. While the upgrade only cost an additional $10 for the product, they failed to mention that an addtional $56 would be charge in S&H. This company is a joke, they refuse to take my product back and give me back the money I paid. Instead they say that it is on the website that there is the $56 S&H fee when it is clearly not. This company is just asking for a class action lawsuit.

I orgered one auger& extension received 2 sizes of the auger, but no extension, I guess I was one of the lucky ones I didn't get a lot of junk like some others got, but the augers are not any good with out the extension. They tried to sell me lots of things when I called for the auger, but I said I didn't want anything else. They are scam artists. Virgil

I had someone else order this product for me,so until the charges come out on his billing statement I won't know the actual charges.Like everyone else tho',when I opened the "little" box,all that was in there were 2 items, with no way to use them. There's no way to connect them to a drill or anything.I wish I had researched this before I bought it.Now if there are hidden chargers like everyone else,I'll have to make it good to my friend, which I can't afford.Billy Mays should be tarred and feathered, run out of bussiness, and NEVER be allowedd to sell anything to the public ever!!!!!!I was going to call customer service, but after reading all the other stories, there isn't any use.I"lljust contact BBB.Someone should be made accountable to the public.Never again will I order anything Mayes sells.Hope he can't sleep nights.

Somehow and unexplicably, my elderly parent, who has not gardened in 40+ years ended up with an Awesome nightmare. We still don't know how his credit card number was compromised, and how (who) placed the order, but a typical credit card thief would at least have the sense to ship the merchandise to a different address, not directly to the cardholder. So there on his doorstep landed an unexpected box with augers and drills inside. $50 for (2) augers and extended warranty + $94 shipping and handling for a total of $144. That $19.95 teaser kinda grew a little? Numerous calls to customer service were long distance, as they don't even support an 800 #, and the results were unawesome at best. Stalls and excuses quickly let us know it was time to file a dispute with the credit card issuer, cancel the card and contact the US postal inspector. Billy Mays - you're awesome!<br />

Same ole, same ole. Ordered this item In Aug. 07 and still fighting this company to get what I ordered for the price agreeded. Yes, I also have hidden charges. I worked for the Post Office, and believe me, these S/H charges are absolute bogus. I also called customer service and spoke with Donna. It was very hard to understand her as she did not have knowledge of our language. This was on 7 Nov. 07. Now as of this date, I have been unable to call customer service for their number is "out of service". While spending hours on this computer, attempting to find other ways to contact them. I read the bio on Mr. Mayes. Here I learned that he "backs and stands behind" all products he indorces. Ok Mr Mayes, you and your future is up at bat. Stand up for us who are paying your wages.

I ordered two augers and drills on my debit card. when my account was charged $148.60 I decilded that when I got it I would send it back unopened, which I did.On Nov. 21st my account was debited $34.90 Michelle at Awesome Augers in Oshkosh.Wi. said the balance of $ 113.70 was for unrefundable processing costs. I am 87 years old on a fixed income and can't afford this. don't buy from Billy Maya.

I bought the product in July and received it the first of November. $39.90 for 2 and everything else was free. Ha! Postage and Handling..$133.70..This was my first and last time ordering from the tv..Call the telephone # and they said I knew the shipping and handling on each item..Who in their right mind would pay 3 times what the product costs to order something?

I ordered this product 2 months ago and at this time there are 5 seperate charges waiting to be authorized for $56.80 to my checking account. I agree with everyone else. This is a big scam. I am trying to call them again tomorrow to cancel my order as it has not been shipped or so they said last week. Buyer beware they are not being truthful with you.

I ordered two of the Awesome Auger sets back in August of 07. I recieved them the first of November with the product total coming to 49.95~and the Handling coming to 93.70!!! Ninety three bucks! And do you get that back if the product is returned? OF COURSE NOT!. Their big scam all rests on their ability to only discuss one fee at a time and NEVER give you the total. How many seniors have been taken by these people?

HHmmmm... this is my 1st time getting ripped off in this manner. Same old story, $111.60 for Shipping Charges, $39.90 was the Product Total Cost. "Bonnie" supposedly from their company left a message for me stating that when I ordered I agreed to pay $39.95 shipping for each Awesome Auger, $7.95 shipping for each other little box accompanying them. So please tell me how this is legal ?????? I'm sure it's the same for you all..... I rec'd ONE box from the UPS truck... INSIDE the ONE box were 2 Auger boxes, and of COURSE 4 littler boxes EACH costing $7.95 to ship INSIDE that ONE big box. $155.60 for me for 2 of the wonderful pathetically typical drills. OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get ahold of my local Channel 27 for me !!!!! PLEASE !!!!! WKOW Madison WI. I am on SS Disability from injuries in a marriage that I could not get protection from back in the 80's, so you can IMAGINE what it would mean for somebody to just want to LISTEN to me for once !!!!!!

I fell prey to their infomercial and thought it would be a good item for my sore hip and gardening. I ordered it back in August and only received it the other day. I thought too I was getting a free drill, the extender etc, but got the two drill bits and that's it. Their ordering system was so flakey I thought I might have erred when I first bought it and called them and did get a person - I told her to make sure I only ordered one set. When I called customer service the other day, they said oh well you told a rep that you didn't want any extras. Their advertising is false, their ordering system is so confusing. They said to return it with such and such a number on it and they'd refund the money but not the shipping. We're on a fixed income also, and this is ridiculous, Billy Mays, he should take responsibility for misleading people. What a creep.

Same story as everybody else. Just received 2 bits and no drill. I responded to the email that confirmed the purchase and surprise, no such email address. This forum is great for venting. What can we do about it? How about a class action suit against these bastards?

I had ordered the awesome Auger and waited three months and it had not come in so I called them and canceled my order and requested my money back, mine was $123.00 and they did not waste time cashing my check. I have been waiting for two months now to receive my refund. I call them and they said that it had to be processed, how long does this processing take I asked them and they could not answer me and when I tried to push it they hung up on me. I juat want my money back so if any one can give me a direction to go I would appreciate it.

I was in the process of placing an order for the awesome auger until I got to the last page. I decided not to purchase and closed out the window without confirming the order. They sent the thing to me anyway. I returned the email I got saying I just purchased the awesome auger and replied back saying I never accepted the offer and I don't want it sent to me. They sent it anyway. This is so wrong; I have always had to confirm my purchase (on a legal site.) I have the box sitting here and I'm afraid to send it back and not get my credit. What should I do?

I purchased the awesome auger online on 9-1 2007. They took the payment out 10-9 & I received a box with two drill bits & nothing else. I have sent emails asking what happened to the rest but received no answer. Now I go to their website & there's no email just the cust service number where you never get anyone & the po box 129 in tarrytown, n.y. 10591.

I ordered the "Awesome Auger" in September, and have never heard from them. Finally, in checking my current charges on my CC account, I see a HUGE charge which I do not understand, the next day I find the package in the mail, and matching charges, which is inflated by $113.70 for shipping and handling. this is for two units (total cost $39.90. I have no intention of paying, and am stopping payment by my CC. I have not opened the merchandise - they can have it back anytime they want, if they insist on the extra $113.70. I will pay the 39.90 plus reasonable shipping & handling, but thats it. Sue me fore the balance!!!!

Customer Service...I have tried numerous times to reach a CS Representative at the 920-966-6600 number listed on the packing slip. It is only an automated number that puts you on hold and never answers. During a televised promotional, I was supposed to get the Awesome Auger and Power Drill for $19.95 plus $8.95 S&H. My bill totaled $56.80 with $36.85 listed for S&H. Buyer Beware!
