I saw Billy Mays advertize this wonderful little device called the Awsome Auger. Being on disability I thought 'this is just what I need to make my flower bed easier to work in'...

I have watched him (Mr Mays) advertize a lot of things!! This one just caught my eye. I thought it might make things easier since I have a lot of back problems.

I ordered it in good faith. It was advertized as the awsome auger with the drill for only $19.99 with shipping and handling($8.99). After ordering it, and giving them my credit card #, they came up with 'do you want the free drill also? It's only $20 shipping and handling!!!!

Well, it came today!!! Take a wild guess how much they took out of my bank account?!?!? $97.70...........for that I would have pulled up my own weeds, and had enough to pay for a Dr visit!!!!!

I will NEVER again order anything that Billy Mays advertizes!!!! They make things sound so good, knowing all the time that they're fixing to rip people off. I just wonder if the things he's says about 'sending you something anytime you need it' on some of his adds means 'we're hoping you don't live long enough to call for anymore'? I tried to call their customer service #. They put me on hold 4 times!!! And never came back on line. I tried to contact their so called e-mail address, and all it was was sites for applying for jobs. Never did get through to their 'customer service'....

I don't know if writing this report will do any good at all, but maybe someone will read it and prevent them from being ripped off like I was. If you're reading this, take my advise and don't order ANYTHING from these people. They con artists and don't care about the people they're trying to con!! God bless.

SAS Group, Inc. Ordered Awesome Auger, when it was received I was charged double the advertised price and not advertised items. Tarrytown North Carolina

Please understand I am aware of the Buyer Beware issues regarding the purchase of an item based upon a television advertisement. But this is so blatantly fraudulent I felt I must bring to your attention. As indicated by the advertisement the item was supposed to remove weeds with ease. The price was to be $19.95 plus $8.95 S&P. The amount charged to my credit card was $48.85! The advertisement also stated the drill was cordless it is not.

When I tried to return everything (never used), I was told I would receive only $19.95 credit. I did not return them since it was going to cost me to ship it back, plus I would be out $28.90. This company should be barred from doing business!
